Denver Blacktop

Terms of use

The purpose of this website

These pages set out, in general terms, how commercial asphalt is constructed, the ways it comes apart along the Front Range, and the order in which work on it is normally carried out. The site also introduces owners and managers to an asphalt contractor working the Denver metro.

General information only

Nothing written here is engineering opinion, legal opinion, or a prediction of how any reviewing body will treat any particular site. It is a description of how this kind of work usually goes.

Requirements, review practice and ground conditions all differ from place to place, and the body with jurisdiction is the only authority on its own rules. Do not substitute anything on these pages for an inspection of your property, a survey, or advice from someone retained on your project.

Why there are no figures anywhere

No page carries a price and none should be read into anything written here. The figure is the contractor’s to set once someone has stood on the property.

Errors

These pages are written with care and reviewed, but circumstances shift and mistakes are possible. Point one out and it gets corrected.
